Eating the low-fat way could help stave off Alzheimer's, according to US research. In a study, participants were divided into two groups and put on a diet that was either low or high in saturated fat for four weeks. The low-fat group saw their biomarkers for Alzheimer's go down and achieved better results in memory tests than the other group.
More research is needed though, to determine exactly how diet affetcs the risk of Alzheimer's.
