Bee Venom: The Story So Far...
I love that natural skincare doesn't meaning boring skincare! Over the past couple of weeks I started trying out one of our newest recruits to our skincare range, Wild Ferns Bee Venom Serum. According to the company,
"Venom from the Bee is renowned for its ability to create a younger looking complexion by stimulating the skin to encourage collagen and elastin production, helping to firm and plump facial tissue. Not all Bee Venom is equal which is the reason Wild Ferns have used VENZTM purified venom to ensure you get the highest quality available which is also ethical and humane."
So far, so good!
Just to give you a little background about me and my face - I turn 35 in couple of weeks and generally have normal skin with a slightly oily t-zone. Recently (and much to my frustration) I have been breaking out around my chin. As this is usually linked to hormonal imbalance, my Wild Nutrition Premenstrual Complex is helping cleanse and balance me from the inside out.
My skin tends to look tired, especially around my eyes. This is primarily down to my work/life balance (can I get a 'Holla' from all the exhausted mamas out there?!), but also due to my new running regime which began last Summer; I go out running at least 4-5 times a week and I have found that this is starting to take a toll on my face - the combination of being outside in all weathers and the pollution is making my face appear more drawn and not as fresh as before. But the benefits of running outweigh this particular negative, so I have been giving myself regular mini facial massages at the end of the day, incorporated into my cleansing regime. This will help uplift the muscles of the face and hopefully counter the impact of my pounding on the pavements of Belfast.
All in all I was ready to try a product that promised great things like eliminating fine lines and plumping facial tissue!
And I haven't been disappointed.
On first use I felt instantly that the serum had brought life to my skin. My skin tone was more even and I felt that my complexion was brighter. On second use I felt the product tingle on my skin and brought colour to my face. I put it on earlier in the evening rather than last thing at night and enjoyed the longer benefits. During Easter I had spent a day in Dublin city centre, and when I got home I applied the serum as I felt my skin looked dull (from all the pollution) and needed freshened up. I certainly felt that it looked more radiant after. After a couple of sleepless nights over the weekend I used the serum for the fourth time and woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and that my skin looked glowing, even without using fake tan! I think this must be because of the facial plumping qualities of the serum, as around my eyes certainly seem brighter.
Using the serum is just what my skin needs at the moment, and it has definitely been a great fit so far. I am excited to see if the results continue to be as impressive throughout the rest of the month.
Will keep you posted!
